Much has been said about doing business.

Getting it right when you put your foot forward is not easy.

For any business to grow and be profitable, there are three most important aspects which every entrepreneur needs to know:

<li>People</li>
<li>Process</li>
<li>Product</li>
</ul>
These three things make or break any business.

&nbsp;

<strong>People</strong>

Businesses are based on the relationships created and nurtured.

Your team comprises of your employees, partners and clients. How you treat your employees determines the quality of their service to you and your clients. Appreciate your employees, create safe working conditions and create exciting opportunities for their growth.

Recognize their work. A thank you note or a public recommendation could go a long way in improving the quality of their service.

The Partners of any firm or organization shape the culture and working environment of any place. Your partners should have shared values and goals, to catapult your business. Choose your partner wisely.

Your clients on the other hand, determine whether you will remain a start-up for eons to come or whether you will move to growth. Consider and value your clients’ views.

<strong>Process</strong>

This is so critical that it is often overlooked as a technical item. Processes are the steps you would take to perform a function, such as making a sales presentation or delivering a service or answering the phone.

Processes eliminate the questions "How do we do ‘x’" or "When do we do ‘y’". Having a process or set of processes in place, gives your team the power to operate on their own.

Process will allow your business to scale from 1-5 and then to 20 employees.

<strong>Product</strong>

You may have a great team of talented people but that’s meaningless unless you have a product or service that customers want and are willing to pay for.

A great product is dependent on what it does for your customers. Does it deliver on the brand-promise consistently? However, the real test is whether your customers are willing to refer you (your business and brand) to their friends or colleagues.

In closing, focusing on <strong>people</strong>, <strong>product</strong> and <strong>process</strong> will empower you to create value where there was none before. Create processes that will grow your company and nurture relationships across the board. By being purposeful, you will stay on track and deliver world-class experiences to everyone who comes into contact with your brand.
