THE AM JOURNAL 100-WORD STORY FESTIVAL

The AM Journal invites everyone to participate in its 100-word story festival. The 100-word story festival is a premier word game which requires writers to do a mash up of at least 2 or more attributed articles/stories previously published. The goal is to promote a reading, writing and creative culture as well as a little challenge for the mind. The 100-word stories must be original.

The stories must be creatively written based on the stories and/or articles already published on theamjournal site, www.theamjournal.com. In order to be eligible for the cash prize and the ultimate prize, you must:

  1. Do a mash up of at least two articles/stories published on the site.
  2. Ensure that your story has a title/heading (the title is not included in the word-count).
  3. Make reference to the titles and authors of the stories of your inspiration (at the end of your 100-story submission). The attribution is not included in the word-count.

SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ORIGINAL AND EXACTLY 100 WORDS

(not including the title)

The determination of who the winner is, will be based on the number of votes made in favour of the 100-word story, votes through likes and reactions/replies of the story via theamjournal site. Post your 100-word story on the comment section below and click on the ‘Also post on Facebook’ to select it and promote your story for the winning prize.

Remember, the more likes and reactions/replies, the closer you are to the prize.

Terms and conditions:

The  best writer will receive a cash prize of Kshs. 2,000/- and the ultimate prize of being on the cover of theamjournal premier magazine set to be released at the end of the quarter.

You can vote for your favourite, and the one with the most votes wins the top prize. Voting will close  on 22nd February, 2018 and the winning entries will be published in our premier release.
